Our Pre-Entry Preparation programme is designed to equip you with the skills to succeed in pre-entry academic testing for the following careers:

NZ Police
Fire and Emergency NZ
NZ Defence Force – Army, Navy, Air Force
Department of Corrections

The Edvance Pre-Entry Preparation programme is kept up to date with relevant testing requirements and covers the following:

Literacy skills (including spelling and writing)
Numeracy skills
Abstract, numerical and verbal reasoning
Timed multi-choice test practice
Initial and final assessment stages to track progress

Are you eligible? This course can be fully funded for those who meet the following criteria:

NZ Citizen or NZ resident
Have literacy or numeracy skill gaps
Have low or no qualifications

Where: Currently offered fully online (distance learning) – using Zoom and Google Classroom.

Face-to-face training may become an option in 2025, please register your interest below.

When: Two nights per week

Intake 1: ONLINE Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm - 9pm.
From 28^th January (~20 weeks)

Intake 2: ONLINE Monday and Thursday 7pm – 9:30pm.
From May until September (to be confirmed)

We also offer an online, self-directed training option that can be accessed from anywhere. Sign up to our online training site to access timed practice tests and other helpful resources to help you prepare for academic pre-entry testing.
