The Edvance Pre-Entry Preparation programme has been designed to prepare you with the skills needed to pass the academic (psychometric) pre-entry testing when you apply to join the NZ Police, Fire and Emergency NZ, NZ Defence Force or Department of Corrections.
This course will develop your literacy and numeracy, spelling and writing skills. Increased competency in abstract, numerical and verbal reasoning will provide you with the confidence required to complete the pre-entry tests for these careers.
Edvance continually improves and updates the course content to remain consistent with current pre-entry testing requirements. Regular monitoring of career-relevant websites, and feedback from learners who sit the external tests, helps to ensure the training is effective and applicable.
This course is designed to prepare you for a career in the above public services. It will ready you with the skills needed to pass the pre-entry testing.
The course covers:
- Increasing literacy and numeracy skills
- Increasing spelling and writing skills
- Abstract reasoning
- Verbal reasoning
- Numerical reasoning
- Timed multi-choice test practice
- Initial and final assessing so you can track your progress.
Where: Currently offered fully online (distance learning) – using Zoom and Google Classroom
When: Two nights per week
