Our Pre-Entry Preparation programme is designed to equip you with the skills to succeed in pre-entry academic testing for the following careers:

NZ Police
Fire and Emergency NZ
NZ Defence Force – Army, Navy, Air Force
Department of Corrections

The Edvance Pre-Entry Preparation programme is kept up to date with relevant testing requirements and covers the following:

Literacy skills (including spelling and writing)
Numeracy skills
Abstract, numerical and verbal reasoning
Timed multi-choice test practice
Initial and final assessment stages to track progress

Are you eligible? This course can be fully funded for those who meet the following criteria:

NZ Citizen or NZ resident
Have literacy or numeracy skill gaps
Have low or no qualifications
Not enrolled as a full-time secondary student

Where: Currently offered fully online (distance learning) – using Zoom and Google Classroom.

When: Two evenings per week

2026 Intake 2: ONLINE - 2 evenings per week

Starting mid-April - date TBC
